Planned Giving: a Legacy of Hope
Create a lasting legacy of providing hope by including Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler in your will.
A planned gift is your investment in a better world—one where local children, families, and seniors can get the help they need. Your planned gift provides Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler with the means to plan for the future: to continue our poverty relief efforts and to craft long-term strategies to reduce the number of people who will require our assistance tomorrow.
What is a Bequest?
A bequest is a gift that can be made for a specific amount, for a percentage of your estate, or for all or a portion of what is remaining after you have made provisions for your family. To make a gift to Catholic Charities from your estate, you must contact an attorney to help legally record your final wishes. Our Federal Tax ID number is 36-4618548.
Sample designation language of bequests:
A fixed dollar amount: “I give a sum of $____ to Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler, an agency of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester, 215 E Church Street, Elmira, NY 14901."
Make an unrestricted (for general purposes) or restricted (specific named program) gift that will meet the needs of our local community.
Please contact us for more information. If you have included Catholic Charities in your estate plans, please let us know. We would like to thank you for your commitment to reducing poverty in Chemung and Schuyler Counties!
